On August 11-12, 2008, Youth for Peace in cooperation with the United Nations, Youth Department of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, YRDP, SCY, KYA, YCC, YCHD, PHD, CSF organized a very fonderful event of the International Youth Day in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Fresh Update 2008

• After 6 months we have finished a Cyber Bridges Project which is a new project in Youth for Peace. So here is a ending project report .  
  
• On 18-21 November 2007 Youth For Peace has a South East Asia Youth Conference under topic "Youth Can Find Justice and Reconciliation through Understanding". So please see more detail in report here. Moreover, please find the KRT Narrative Report here.
• Youth for Peace is pleased to announce that on 10 to 11 November 2007 we will have Community Youth Gathering Day at Net Yorng High School in Battambang Province. 

• Also, to announce its South East Asia Youth Conference which will be held at Sovannah Phum University in Phnom Penh, from 18 to 21 November 2007. The conference centers around the topic “Youth Can Find Justice and Reconciliation hrough Understanding”. Different topics related to post-conflict experiences will be given attention, as well as efforts of reconciliation with special attention to the role of war tribunals. We will also focus on topics related to genocide, on its causes and prevention for the future. Participants and speakers from Cambodia will be joined by international participants and speakers from Vietnam , Thailand , Laos , Birma , Germany , and perhaps Rwanda and East Timor. The conference will culminate in recommendations given by the youth participants to the Khmer Rouge tribunal in Cambodia, or the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. • From 20 to 25 September 2007, Youth for Peace held its second Peace Conference, with the topic “The role of youth in peace building”. During the five days of this conference, we aimed to motivate and empower youth to explore the roles they can play in developing their society, and to stimulate youth to play an active role in peace building and building good relationships in their communities. We believe that this conference has achieved that goal, as youth has gained more knowledge about key elements of peace building; youth showed their talents through the workshops, and the cultural shows; youth built good relationships with each other, despite differences in background and religion; and youth have more ideas about the roles that they can play in their community and society, which has become concrete through the many action plans that they have prepared for social action. • Youth for Peace would like to announce that we are preparing our Peace Conference, which will be held in Siem Reap on September 20 - 25, 2007. The theme of the conference is "The Role of Youth in Building Peace". 250 young people from different provinces, as well as Phnom Penh will attend the conference. The goal of the conference is to motivate and empower youth to take an active role in peace building in their community. The conference will entertain young people with plenary sessions, workshops, cultural- and talent shows, meditation, and exercises.
