Mr.Long Khet, and he is the Executive Director of Youth for Peace. He was born during the war. His life passed across genocide, and he experienced the situation of displacement after the collapse of the Khmer Rouge. During his education,he always discussed with friends about present social issues, and he involved in peace activities. Finally, they came up with the idea to set up Youth for Peace (YFP). He have 12 years experience with YFP since the beginning. He have been involved from the beginning in the development of the program, and served as a Leadership Officer until December 2004, at which time He was nominated as Interim Director. In March 2005, he was appointed as Executive Director by YFP’s Board of Directors. So far he have been involved in national, regional, and global peace and democracy activities in Thailand, United States, Canada, India, Philippines, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka...
Mr. NOU VA, Program Manager Mr. Nou Va has been involved in peace building and human rights work in Cambodia for number of years. He graduated from the Royal University of Law and Economics with a B.A. in Law. Currently, he works as a program manager at Youth for Peace (YFP) .His work focuses on reconciliation, peace building and cultures of memory culture in the context of post-war Cambodia. The nature of his work is based on using community participatory approach and "bottom up" methodology. Additionally, Mr. Nou Va attended the Master of Apply Conflict Transformation Studies (ACTS) at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. For the dissertation of his MA, he did action research on the ground with regard to community participation in memory initiative concerning Khmer Rouge regime.
Mr.PHAN BUNTHI, Administrative and Finance Officer
PHAN Bunthi, as Administrative and Finance Officer (AFO) at Youth for Peace, handles the entire Administrative and Financial work of YFP. With almost eight years of in-depth and core experience in administration and finance, PHAN Bunthi is responsible for fulfilling, managing and controlling the whole administrative and financial functions at YFP. He utilizes his matured acumen and sharp vision in fulfilling and managing work.A graduate with management from the Institute of Management and Development in Cambodia, Bunthi knows how to make a difference and has been applying this in his careers and functions of work with various entities and NGOs in Cambodia, especially YFP as his current employer.
Mr.AUN CHANTHY, Youth Empowerment Project Officer
Mr.Aun Chanthy graduated Associate of Biology and Earth Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of English and Master of Publish Administration. So far he has been working in community development and training activities for years. Presently, he works for Youth For Peace (YFP) as Project Officer in the project of Youth Empowerment Project which mainly focuses on youth empowerment, community empowerment and trainings. He has had experiences on teaching, corruption, administrative, finance and research work etc.
Miss.SIN LIVA, Young Leaders for Peace project officer Miss. Sin Liva has been working with Youth for Peace for 5 years. Before, she had served as youth volunteer with local NGO, for two years. She finished a bachelor in English Literature. Recently, she holds position as a project officer of Young Leader for Peace Project. She is pursuing her master degree in Education.
Mr.SOK KOEUN, Community Peace Learning Center project Team Leader
Mr.Sok Koeun graduated of the Bachelor degree of Business Administration in Management from Phnom Penh International University. He has been working at the Youth For Peace’s Youth for Justice and Reconciliation project that invole Khmer Rouge history education, reconciliation, and memory work with community and youth since 2009. Sok Koeun had been working in community development as a volunteer with local Cambodian NGOs since 2004. He believes that the work with Youth For Peace is very important for peace building, justice and reconciliation in his country.
Miss.LIM SOPHARY,Administrative and Finance Team Leader Miss.Lim Sokphary, as Administrative and Finance Team Leader at Youth for Peace, is responsible for all administrative and financial functions within YFP. Over 3 years of her core and acumen experience, completeness and accuracy has made her a finest team player in the administrative and finance team of YFP. She holds Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Vanda Institute, and is starting a general English class at Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC).
Mr.CHANN NOB, Community Peace Learning Center project Team Leader Mr. Chann Nob graduated bachelor of Sociology from Royal University of Phnom Penh. He has been working in Youth for Peace (YFP) as Team Leader in Community Peace Learning Center (CPLC). This project focuses on Empower community memorial committees and youth, Create safe space for community, Sensitize teacher, school director, local authority, religious leader, and NGOs to support the memory place. He has had experiences on teaching, facilitation and research.
Miss.HUN SINUON, Truth Reconciliation and Healing-toward a shared Future project Team Leader Miss.Hun Sinuon was graduated bachelor degree of Social Work at Royal University of Phnom Penh, cohort I in June 2012, and she had been holding bachelor of English Literature Study at Cambodia International Cooperation Institute. She had been working on counseling and therapy with traumatize clients who were experienced with sex trafficking & exploitation and raped for several years. Furthermore, as internship, she earned experiences during her study with both national & international organization which have been working on HIV/AIDs, Child Sex abused & exploitation, Child Development & Child protection, Community development, Gender Equality/issues, Advocacy, Peace, and Education; and worked as part-time staff for Parenting & phone-counseling. Currently, she is a Team Leader of Youth For Peace in Truth, Reconciliation, Healing-Toward Share Future project which focusing on History Explorative Education on Khmer Rouge to youth & create a safe space for Victim Survivor & Perpetrator of KR and it also lead to healing and building a bridge for reconciliation, peace, and share future.
Mr.HIM SOPHEA , Youth for Justice and Reconciliation project Senior Trainer Mr. Him Sophea has completed Bachelor degree from Asia Europe University (AEU) on Management. Currently, he is a senior trainer of Youth For Peace (YFP) organization, he has involved in discuss on the initiative of key points and developing lesson plan for project activities. Moreover, he has led many workshops for youth group and villagers in the community as Understand Remember and Change Workshop, Painting Workshop, Team Work, Proposal Writing…etc, and also facilitated Intergenerational Dialogues, Study Tour to mass killing sites, and Exhibition events. These works base on the Khmer Rouge history, reconciliation, transitional justice, memory culture, and extraordinary chamber in the court of Cambodia (ECCC) process.
